2018 Summer Camp Scholarship Application

This event is no longer on sale.

Saturday August 4

9:00 AM  –  9:01 AM

A limited number of need-based summer camp scholarships are available. We have currently given away all of our scholarships for year. However, if we have unfilled spaces the week before camp we will give scholarships to people on the waiting list.

Join the scholarship waiting list by selecting the number of children for whom you would like to apply, then filling out the information. If spots are open, you will be emailed the Wednesday before the week of camp letting you know your child may attend on a scholarship.

You may request scholarships for the following camps:

Artful Discoveries & Adventures
June 18-22, 2018, 9 am - noon: ages 4-6, grades K-1
July 9-13, 2018, 9 am - noon: ages 7-9, grades 2-4

This year’s Artful Discoveries & Adventures sessions feature a mix of all new art projects that introduce campers to a variety of creative techniques--including printmaking, painting, and sculpture. Campers will become Museum insiders by journeying through GRAM’s galleries and learning curatorial tips and tricks to use in their own show!

Art Goes Rogue
July 16-20, 2018, 9 am - noon: ages 4-6, grades K-1
July 23-27, 2018, 9 am - noon: ages 7-9, grades 2-4

"You made that out of what?" is a question we expect you'll hear after this camp. Step outside the bounds of conventional art materials and stretch your creativity using unexpected supplies. Search for new media in the galleries and discover how other artists push the boundaries of tradition.

The Third Dimension
July 30-August 3, 2018, 9 am - noon: ages 10-13, grades 5-8

Is your art feeling a little flat? Add some depth during this session focused on all things 3-D. Use different materials and techniques to explore space and get your art of the page. Discuss how other artists use the third dimension while touring the galleries, then put your findings to use in the studio.

Posters from Design to Print
July 30-August 3, 2018, 2 – 5 pm: ages 14-17, grades 9-12

Get an inside look into the field of graphic design. Hear from professionals working in the field, explore examples in GRAM's collection, and work with a client to design a poster for a real product or event. Then, learn the art of screen printing while creating a limited edition of posters.
