Adult Workshop: Experimental Monotypes

This event is no longer on sale.

Sunday December 2

12:30 PM  –  3:30 PM

Monotype printing is a versatile method of creating unique prints that encourages an element of surprise through experimentation. Following a guided tour of GRAM’s collection, create a variety of monotypes exploring both additive and subtractive painterly approaches. Experiment with non-traditional mark making tools, stencils and textures through various inking and layering techniques. Working with an acrylic plate, you will learn how to print with a press and by hand.

No experience is necessary–just an open mind and a willingness to try something new. In GRAM Studio, we focus on the process, not the product, and encourage guests to explore their creativity. All supplies are provided. For more information, please contact Crystal Chesnik at 616.831.2927 or gramstudio@artmuseumgr.org.

Open to ages 18+. Registration is required. This workshop has a maximum of 30 participants, so sign up today.
