This event is no longer on sale.

Tuesday August 21

12:00 PM  –  1:00 PM

Join us for a Lunch & Learn presented with the Kaufman Interfaith Institute. Hear from Dr. Anne Heath, Associate Professor of Art History and Director of the Mellon Scholars Program at Hope College, who teaches on the subject of Islamic Art. Dr. Heath will discuss the basic elements of Islamic Art, how those elements can be seen in GRAM’s current exhibitions, and what these exhibitions, and Islamic art, can teach us about interfaith cooperation and community.

Following Dr. Heath’s presentation, a panel of interfaith voices representing Judaism, Buddism, and Islam will reflect on their own traditions. Come ready to create–rounding out this event will be Islamic art-making activities.

Registration for this event is encouraged, but not required. This event is free to the public and GRAM members and meets in Cook Auditorium.
