This virtual professional development session for K-12 educators will introduce participants to the American Perspectives: Stories from the American Folk Art Museum exhibition at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, focusing on the primary themes and cross-curricular connections featured in the artworks selected for the exhibition. Educators will gain an overview of using folk art objects as primary sources and additional resources about lessons and art-making activities to utilize in a multitude of classrooms and subject areas.
